History of Maldan Technical Services

Maldan Technical is predominantly Engineering and Construction Services to Major Contractors and Clients. Current Shareholder and Director, Mr Dan Reddy, has over 25 years experience in managing major complex infrastructure projects, predominantly for Eskom, Transnet, Botswana Power and in the UK for EC Harris / Network Rail. Mr Dan Reddy is a registered Professional Certificated Engineer, and holds Registration with SACPCMP as a Professional Construction Project Manager.

Certification and Accreditation

Prior to this venture Mr Reddy has been involved in the Design, Detailing and Fabrication / Construction Companies from 2010 on major projects in Power and Ports, with significant projects namely being:

  • Medupi Power Station Coal Stockyard and Ash Handling Systems (ZAR 70 million)
  • Grootvlei Coal Offloading Station (ZAR 60 million);
  • Transnet Pier No 2 Reefer Structures (ZAR25 million);
  • Agriport Warehouse and Conveyor Materials Handling Plant (ZAR 45 million);
  • Hendrina Power Station Chute Upgrades (ZAR 6 million);
  • Kusile Buckets and Chutes for Coal Off-loading machines (ZAR 5 million);
  • Moving Heads Upgrade, Transnet Port of Richards Bay (ZAR18 million)
  • New 3000 tph Multi-purpose Shiploader for Dry Bulk Terminal (Richards Bay)
  • Two (2) Pneumatic Ship Unloaders for Agriport, Durban
  • Fire Damage Repairs to Conveyors and Equipment at Agriport, Transnet Terminal (ZAR3,5 million)

About Our Team and Capabilities

We have capability in-house and via associates for specialist Designs and Modelling in all Engineering Disciplines (TEKLA; DEM; AUTOCAD;  INVENTOR) and In-house Project Management Software (Primavera P6 – Planning, Contracts Manager; and PRA – Risk Analyser).

Our strength is our multi-disciplinary Engineering and Construction tea, supported by experienced Project Managers.

Maldan Technical was the 1st company in South Africa to use Drones to do Structural Assessments on Ship to Shore Cranes at Durban Container Terminal with no Outage / Shutdown of Cranes
